Most guests are surprised at what we now offer at the Mackerel Islands where we can cater to most of your needs and requirements, whether you’re looking for an island getaway or fun filled holiday package. 

Our island hub, in our centralised location containing a recreation rooms for the children to escape to, guest laundry and our island general store. It's convienient location makes it a great meeting point to plan the days events and see what activities are available during your stay.

Reception / Check In

On arrival, whether arriving by your own boat, plane or transfer vessel, you will be met by a member of staff who will assist you in making your way to your accommodation, and answer any queries that you have.
On the island you will be issued with an account card which can be used at the general store, bar, restaurant and for any purchases that you make on the island. These are required to be settled prior to departure at the island store, where you will be able to make payment via EFTPOS or cash.
Cash is not accepted in any area other than on check in and out.
Check In 2pm (check in is usually available before 2pm, but please contact the Island if you are intending on arriving early)
Check Out 10am

General Store

Thevenard Island General Store stocks all your grocery requirements along with most of those other little things you would need during your stay including:

• Most Basic Grocery Supplies
• Bottle shop (including wine, spirits and cartons of beer)
• Fishing tackle
• Bait and ice
• Fresh Fruit and Vegetables (weekly)
• Basic toiletries and medical supplies

Please note that during our low season Mid October to March we hold minimal stock on the island, and so you will need to bring your fresh supplies with you. If visiting between these months, please contact us for more details.

Moby’s Rec Room

A recreation room is available for the children to hang out with some friends they have met along the way, which is open 24 hours a day and includes:

• A variety of board and outside games
• Table Tennis
• TV and DVD
• DVD and Book swap
• Pool table
• Island Wildlife information Corner

Although the rec room is open at all times, please be advised that it is not supervised and so parents and guardians are required to ensure they know what the little ones are up to and that toys and games are replaced as they were found.

Wildlife and Snorkel Hire Centre

The on island dive centre creates a great environment for those wanting quiz our on island team about the wildlife they saw under the sea. Information on the local wildlife, our eco walk trail or the activities that are available during your stay.

The centre is also our main activities hub where you can book one of our unique, personalised tours and fishing charters with our friendly activities staff.
